Work with me

Who is The Sweet Wanderlust?

Hey y’all! I’m Brittany. I grew up in Texas and have had a passion for travel for as long as I can remember. After earning a degree in marketing, I worked for eight years in the events and marketing industries, traveling as often as I could. I’m currently on country number 59 as I eat my way around the world, searching for the greatest adventures and best desserts.

MOP Donuts Perth's best freakshakes red velvet chicken

In February 2015, I created The Sweet Wanderlust for people with a sweet tooth and a taste for adventure. In August 2015, I left my role as Director of Communications at a non-profit in Dallas and have been living a nomadic life for over four years. I’ve harvested grapes and olives in Italy, participated in the lantern festival in Thailand, learned the appropriate way to wear an abaya in Abu Dhabi, swam with humpback whales in Tonga and orcas in Norway and consumed at least 30 freakshakes in Melbourne. It brings me great joy to share travel tips and unique experiences with my readers so they can embark on their own sweet adventure.

Who I’ve worked with

“We invited Brittany to collaborate with us to promote the Jewish holiday Purim and the comprehensive festival package we offer, as well as portraying Abraham Hostels & Tours as the perfect mix to experience local specialties and sites in Israel. As a solo female traveler with an incredibly colorful feed and a focus on local desserts, foods, and customs, we felt this was going to be the perfect fit – and we weren’t disappointed 🙂 During the 9 days she stayed with us, she partied with us during Purim, went on a handful of our trips around the country, and got her hands on all the food tours we offer. From the beginning, the work with her was very professional and yet super fun! Brittany made a point of under-promising and over-delivering, and while we would have been perfectly happy with our initial agreement, she kept posting, promoting and advising us way beyond, reaching as much as 1.000 likes, 120 comments and a reach of up to 16K for a single post. Through her, we already had people showing interest in our Purim package for next year. Thank you so much for your great work Brittany, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back here soon :)”

Lily Claire Bags

Brittany is the perfect brand ambassador for Lily Claire. She left a comfortable life in the US to travel the world and see its wonders. Her joyful voice and engaging images draw a loyal and enthusiastic audience and she has been extremely successful in communicating the story and values of our brand. We have received orders and inquiries from around the world thanks to Brittany’s representation.

We first came across Brittany after her photo was posted on Instagram of our glow ice cream at White Night Melbourne.  We loved the pic that we awarded her best pic of the night.  From then on Brittany’s eye for detail in capturing our desserts and reaching out to her audience was amazing.  Her Instagram campaign was great for us in attracting new followers.

When I heard that the Texas state flower was in fu When I heard that the Texas state flower was in full bloom at the @ennisbluebonnet festival, I put the 🌸PETAL🌸 to the metal and drove to @visitennistexas to check out the bluebonnet trails! On a scale of 1-100, my Texas pride was off the charts as I met longhorn cattle 🐮purchased local honey from a beekeeper 🐝 on the side of the road, and witnessed Texans getting their yearly bluebonnet pics!
